The Puppy Cut

A Puppy cut is the most requested style and there are many interpretations of this style.  Spa 4 Paws tries to make choosing a style simple. Our interpretation of a puppy cut is the same length all over and the length is determined by the pet owner. If there is severe matting, length will be determined by your stylist.

The Breed Standard Clip

The breed standard clip is determined by AKC for your breed of dog.  For example, if you have a Schnauzer, we would do a breed-specific clip, with some owners preferring a shorter version of the beard, eyebrows and shorter skirting.

Poodles, on the other hand, have many breed standard clips so that you can have fun choosing one to fit your pet and lifestyle.

Shorter versions of any breed standard clip is also available.

Mix Breed Clips

Just like the dog is a mix of breeds, the mixed breed clips are a combination of styles.  We try to accentuate the best features of your pet into a creative style.  For example,  a fluffy cocker/poodle mix with long legs and a heavy midsection will look balanced with a shorter body and a longer coat on the legs, rather than just a short clip all over. There are a variety of options. For example: head styled one way, legs or feet a different way. The choices are endless so have fun with it, and if you find you don’t like something we can always change it up.

 This is a new, modern style for those pets who are hip or just want a change. We have many books in our salon for you to sit down and peruse.
